Daug Bytes is the official web site of the Delmarva Apple User’s Group, a non-profit association dedicated to helping its members achieve a better understanding of the Apple Macintosh Computer platform.
Our Goal
We are attempting to provide a low key and casual opportunity to explore the Apple platform. On this site, we will be documenting current events and discoveries relevant to the group at large. The breadth of product available today is mind boggling. When this group first started, digital photography was unheard of. Digital video not yet imagined. iPods, uhhh… what? It has been an amazing journey. We are now grappling with the blogging phenomenon, wondering what Google is up to, asking whether or not Open Office really is a viable substitute for Word, and what is Web 2.0 anyway? and on and on….
What we have discovered. There are no Apple experts on the planet that know it all. We need each other to relate what we have discovered and what we claim as knowledge. The web has become a remarkable sharing tool. It is our hope this site might contribute in some way to the knowledge base. We will write articles, experiment with podcasts, play with video casting, write small tutorials, and share our enthusiam as well as our disappointments.
