- DarkerNet was started in 1998 by PreZ and Lord Striker as a chat network that wasnt just a network full of WaReZ and porn. Things pretty much were 'Whatever PreZ and Striker says goes, that's it'. The goal of the DarkerNet IRC Network was to provide a place for Goths, wiccans, roleplayers, and basically people who weren't part of the mainstream of society to congregate and chat freely without having to deal with the 'internet rednecks'.
