Description
Create and discuss as a team the job duties/responsibilities as they apply to the Content Team and relate to the Job Descriptions task.
Why?
Creating a comprehensive list of what activities are done by employees on the Content Team will help us:
- Do our work better
- Learn what is important to the company, team and individual
- Provide team goals and inform the decision-making process and even just the "what do I work on first?" tasks.
- Provide a rubric for future hires on the tasks and duties required for the position.
Done When
- The team is content that this is a fairly exhaustive list as it applies to this task and the Job Descriptions task.
- A one or two sentence description for each of the duties has been written:
Groundwork
- Web Researcher
- Web Content Creator/Writer
- Peer Editor
Meta
- New Employee Trainer
- SEO/Content Tracker
- Content Designer
- Content Facilitator
Meta-Meta
- Liaison w/ other teams -- On a higher level, someone from Content team each iteration (or for multiple iterations) should be talking to and attending Ops, Community and Dev team meetings when relevant to coordinate cross-team efforts and to serve as point person for informing the other teams about the projects and activities the Content team is working on.
Multi-Team/Whole Company Tasks
- Community Team support -- includes helping with RC, Welcoming and other activities on a weekly and as needed basis.
