Description
The Cook Ratings are power ratings for NCAA and NFL football. I have been working on the formula for a couple of years. The ratings are calculated based on the performance of each team with an emphasis placed on their strength of schedule. Each team's 2000 performance is factored into the calculation through the first 4 weeks of the season. Each week all 117 Division 1-A teams in the NCAA and 31 teams in the NFL will be ranked from top to bottom and also sorted by conference or division. The team's strength of schedule will also be ranked from hardest to easiest and also sorted by conference or division. The rating calculated for each team gives the strength of one team compared to another.
