- Conservation Council for Hawai‘i is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. CCH members include nearly 5,500 residents of Hawai‘i and elsewhere, who want to protect Hawai‘i's unique natural heritage for future generations.
- During the Pacific Science Conference in Honolulu in 1950, a group of leading scientists in Hawai‘i discussed the need for an organization with a scientific basis to help formulate policy and inform decision-making related to the protection of Hawaiian natural resources. As a result, the Conservation Council for Hawai‘i was formed.
- Conservation Council for Hawai‘i is dedicated to protecting native Hawaiian plants, animals, and ecosystems. CCH is the Hawai‘i affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation.
