2006. Presently, Coasterdom is an Amusement Industry Blog. What does that mean exactly? Well, the Coasterdom staff takes news, information, and our own views and tells our take on them. Opinions on business decisions, coasters, and enthusiasts can all be found. Coasterdom’s site history goes back much further then what is above.
of 2002. The original goal of the site was to provide a free track record service and roller coaster database. The site was in development for six months before opening. After opening, it was found that a database/track record site by itself was not all that interesting to anyone other than enthusiasts. Pictures and ride layouts were added to the site within a few months. The site went through several designs and recodings’ all in an effort to improve the site. In December of 2005, it was decided that the database contained far too many errors and that it was not necessary for one to be present. After the loss of the database, a new direction was decided upon. What you see is what we finally decided on. We do not claim to be experts; we are just merely fans of our industry. We hope that we can provide you with a little insight into the world of amusement parks and the people that love them.
