Our website has much of interest for all members of the Christ's College community dispersed throughout New Zealand, and throughout the world. I extend a particularly warm welcome to those who may be considering applying to join the school, and hope a brief introduction will be of help to you.

Christ's College is an independent boarding and day school for boys. It is an historic part of Canterbury's original settlement, where the most up to date education takes place against a backdrop of glorious heritage and tradition. Our highly qualified, talented and committed academic staff are supported by forward thinking governance and a dedicated team of professional administrators, to ensure every possible opportunity is provided for our boys and young men.

Our House system is a great strength. Each boy is a member of a House (four for boarders, six for day boys) and this provides not only facilities for study and relaxation, and the focus of our pastoral care, but also that sense of membership and commitment that is so important to us.
