I'm a little puzzled at some of the items included in this category, while at the same time concerned about what I have been including. To wit:

• Does every blog written by a Portlander qualify for inclusion? Even if there is no technology content -- or the person has moved from Portland since starting it?
• When we use the word "Portland", just how large of an area do we mean? Only within the city limits? The metro area inside Oregon? Or any website about something within 50 miles of downtown Portland? -- Llywrch 12:10, 3 August 2007 (PDT)

Hi Llywrch, per your question on Category talk:PortlandTech, I'd suggest that you do what feels right, rather vague, I know- sorry. I would not include a blog (written by a person in Portland) solely because it is a blog. As to the region that Portland encompasses, I'd comfortably say the Portland metro area; I tend not to be overly generous in defining this- protracted geography = diluted category significance. MarkDilley created the category and will likely have a better sense of the paramters.
