In the summer 2008 the artistic collective called “Canecane”, directed by Guglielmo Guarnera met the experience in digital post-production of Giuseppe Squillaci. The company “Canecane” was born and immediately started to work in audio and video production and post-production, animation and graphics for cinema, television and theatre, focusing in most experimental interactive performances forms. Canecane coordinates and promotes professional operators and technicians, a group of directors and video-makers, illustrators and musicians. The digital technology is always used as a art form and instrument for art at he same time. Focusing on the digital while creating, Canecane is the ideal technic and artistic partner for producers, directors, cinematographers working in cinema and television. The company provides creative services, videos, interactive and multimedial installations, viral marketing, live performances support. Two areas: Production The creativity of young artists mixed with the best techical equipment, Canecane makes documentaries, short movies, videoclips, spots and any kind of audio and video products, from the idea to the final product. The company produces own videos and also satisfies any clients with digital filming, animation, teasers and trailers. Post-production From storyboarding to digital intermediate, Canecane follows all the digital post production process. From pre-production of visual effects (including animations and illustrations), to digital filming and animation, stop motion, off-line and on-line editing, dvd authoring, set supervision, modeling and 3d texture, 3d animations, lighting and 3d rendering, 2d compositing and rotoscoping, 2d motion graphics, 2d animations, 2d paint, title animations.
Guglielmo Guarnera is a Marketing and Innovative Technology specialist; he started working as a computer operator for audiovisual productions, setting up “2K Produzioni” in 2000. During the last few years he has worked as director and camera operator for music specials, documentaries, advertisings, short films and video clips such as “Dicembre” by Roberto Angelini. He has been responsible for animation, compositing and visual effect supervising in the video “La mia parte intollerante” by Caparezza. Cult Network, Olivetti, De Agostini, Magnolia, Universo, BMG-Ricordi, All Music, Fondazione Romaeuropa, Rai News 24 and Dissonanze (digital art and music festival), some of the main clients. As a first founder, he has been running Canecane creative project for years. Canecane succeeded in putting up interactive installations and supporting multimedia projects for musicians and programmers. In 2008 he turned Canecane into a company, and became its chairman.
