We are totally independent so we can ship from any one whose wines we think you will enjoy, from tiny family firms to huge co-operatives. All British wine merchant chains are owned by international drinks companies or brewers; naturally they promote the products of their parent companies, and because of their size, tend to buy from big producers. But big is not necessarily best.

Hal Wilson MA (Cantab) Managing Director. Based in our head office at Mill Road, Hal is our chief buyer, handles public relations, and gives regular tutored tastings. Hal has been enthusiastically involved in wine and food since coming up to Cambridge to read Classics at Peterhouse. After graduating he served on the board of several wine companies before establishing Cambridge Wine Merchants with Brett Turner. Specialist Areas: Bordeaux (Hal handles all our En Primeur business).
