Description

Lisa Graham is in her second season as Music Director of the Brookline Chorus. Dr. Graham is the Evelyn Barry Director of Choral Programs at Wellesley College, where she conducts the Wellesley College Choir, Chamber Choir and Glee Club in addition to teaching academic courses in the Music Department. She also conducts the Handel and Haydn Society's Young Women's Chorus in Boston.

Before her arrival at Wellesley, she was on the faculty at California State University, where she conducted the Women’s Chorale. She has directed choirs at Sonoma State University, performed in and directed productions at Cinnabar Opera Theater and taught graduate and undergraduate conducting courses at the University of Southern California. She studied at the Kingston University School of Music in London, at Sonoma State University, and at the University of Southern California, where she earned her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts Degrees. As a vocalist, Dr. Graham has performed as a soprano soloist, toured extensively and sung with professional choral ensembles.

The Brookline Chorus began as a small group in 1979 and has grown to be an auditioned ensemble of about 80 members. The chorus unites singers who share the joy of learning and performing a challenging traditional and contemporary repertoire.
