- Birth Choice of the Desert, Indio was founded in December of 1991 and Birth Choice in Desert Hot Springs opened in July of 1999. Birth Choice of the Desert provides education and support services to women and men dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. We believe every woman has the right to be fully informed about her pregnancy so that her decision will be intelligent, confident and one she can live with for the rest of her life. We educate her about prenatal development, the methods and risks of abortion, as well as available choices.
