- With a career that spans 18 years and has taken him from Chicago to Hong Kong to San Francisco; Charles has a blend of finance and marketing experience that is very well-suited for the business of real estate. He has the rare combination of analytical skills, proven marketing prowess and a true desire to help his clients. His experience in the financial markets began in Chicago in institutional bond sales for Kemper Securities which exposed him to the effects of interest rates play in the economy and specifically with home prices. CharlesÕ introduction to real estate markets began in late 80s when he was an institutional property analyst for Credit Lyonnais Securities. In his own words: ÒEvaluating Hong KongÕs property companies during a bull market was a tremendous experience and one that I would not choose to repeat.Ó Despite this sentiment he found his way to the Bay AreaÕs hot property market 10 years later. Upon graduating from one of the leading international graduate schools in business, Charles accepted a regional marketing manager position for a Coca-Cola licensee. He later worked with Reebok and Greg Norman brands. From this experience Charles became adept at marketing and developed an impressive understanding of brand management. As a member of the Pacific Union team, Charles pulls from both his professional and his personal experience. Relocating from Hong Kong to San Francisco has made Charles particularly sympathetic and attuned to the needs of his clients who are relocating. He draws from his own experiences to help make the transition a seamless and comfortable process. In his own words: ÒEach time we relocated it took us several years to rebuild our lives. It is my hope to make this process more seamless, effortless and less painful for my clients". Charles holds a Masters of Business Administration from Thunderbird, a leading international business school. A Bachelors of Economics degree from Vassar College and he is a graduate of The Lawrenceville School. He is active in local politics and acts as Vassar CollegeÕs admissions coordinator for Marin and Sonoma counties. He and his family moved to Sausalito from San Francisco.
