The "Docklands Ringing Centre" was formed to promote and teach the art of bellringing in Docklands and the surrounding area, including the Boroughs of Tower Hamlets & Southwark. This group, with support from various other bellringing organisations have helped organise the restoration of the bells at St James Bermondsey, St Giles Camberwell, Christchurch Isle of Dogs, St Mary's Rotherhithe and St Peter Walworth. In addition a completely new ring of bells has been installed at St Anne’s Limehouse. Fund-raising is currently underway to replace the bells at St Nicholas Deptford which were sold for scrap in the 1950's.
