- The Osteonecrosis Resource Center, a non-profit corporation (501c filing in progress), has been formed in an effort to advance education and research into the disease Osteonecrosis, also known as Avascular Necrosis (AVN for short). Our primary vehicle is the community-driven web portal, “Avascular Necrosis Resources” at www.avnresources.org. The web portal will provide a comprehensive library of resources to aid AVN patients in learning how to better understand and live with the disease.
