- AO Campaign is a content management system – CMS - to enable product data and content to be published through one or more channels. Content can be entered, created, gathered into a central database from ERP, stock control, booking and inventory systems via XML, tab-delimited imports such as Excel or scripted data streams or manually and then managed, searched for and selected for subsequent publishing using AO Campaign J2EE portal / portlet architecture modules; AO WebOrganiser, used by product and marketing departments. The content is made ready for print channels, via Quark XPress and Adobe InDesign and the modules; AO Producer (Quark XPress XTension), AO PageRobot (automatic page updates and low, medium and high resolution PDF generation for proofing, e-brochure and high quality print production), AO Templater and AO Dragster (automatic page layout) and AO InProducer (InDesign Plug-In). Output is brochures, catalogues, data sheets, advertisements, flyers, inserts and point-of-sale posters. A simplified database extract is made via MySQL, which enables web site, call-centre, e-mail, SMS, TV, point-of-sale and other display technology output. This approach also enables various enterprise users to re-submit data and content back into the CMS e.g. for errata reporting, fast-track news items, remote product and enterprise user input of relevant product information.
