- For almost thirty years, I have been modelling German railways, despite those years, there is always something new to learn. My thanks goes to Steve Rabone who had the vision and determination to create the German (Model) Railway Society. Like Steve, I also served the society throughout the 80s and was responsible for many of the innovations that today's members take for granted.
- The website was established in 1999 and attracts over 65,000 annual visitors, it has become one of the most popular English language websites for modellers of German railways.
