The Vinalhaven Chamber of Commerce is an active group of about sixty business people whose mission is "to preserve and promote; to preserve our island way of life, and to promote economic vitality." The Chamber sponsors or supports many island activities and events, provides a monthly program of interest to members and others, and provides annual scholarshop support to island students.
