Treasury.govt.nz is the financing department of New Zealand's government.
The New Zealand Treasury is the government's lead advisor on economic and financial policy, responsible for managing public spending, Crown liabilities, significant assets, and the annual Budget documents and Crown financial statements. It also develops strategic economic advice and manages New Zealand's relationships with international financial institutions. First established in 1840, it is one of New Zealand's oldest institutions and today employs just over 300 people.
