Theatre.cz is an internet information service focusing on the world of Czech theatre. The website contains detailed information about local and foreign theatre activities as well as a concise database of Czech theatres, festivals and contacts to theatres and related institutions and organizations. Articles published on the website include features about individuals stages and performances, new literature published about Czech theatre, and programmes of all Czech theatres. The Infosources Section of the website provides readers with an opportunity of browsing through the archives and statistical information about Czech theatre. Theatre.cz also contains a catalogue of theatre, dance and puppet performances recommended by the Theatre Institute in Prague as suitable productions to be hosted at international theatre festivals, as well as a directory of contemporary Czech playwrights whose works have been translated into foreign languages. Every season, Theatre.cz publishes a quarterly e-zine newsletter, Theatre.cz Bulletin, providing its subscribers with news, reviews, and updates of the current events that have taken place in the Czech Republic and abroad. The editor of the Theatre.cz is the Theatre Institute in Prague (http://institute.theatre.cz), and also has a Czech version (www.divadlo.cz). The website is updated every day except weekends and holidays.
