Ypsilanti, Mich-- It took a total team effort and nine innings for the Beach Bums to stop the Midwest Sliders from sweeping them on Thursday night. The Beach Bums started on a high note with one run scored by newcomer Michael Campbell in the top of the first, but it would be only scored by the Bums until the top of the 8th. Trailing 6-1 at that point in the game, catcher Andrew Franco hit a grand slam, moving the team within one run.
