My first Dane was Clausentum Hamlet and was purchased from Miss Jean Lanning in 1987. I had finally managed to persuade my family to let me get a Dane after many years of ear ache and I believe at a weak moment they said yes. My parents and one of my brothers trooped off to Miss Lanning to pick up our new bundle and Hamlet came home with us and became the start of our Danes.
