The term synthian is derived from the logical process known as dialectic (thesis+antithesis=synthesis). Life and every experience within it is truly unique to the individual experiencing it, and therefore each of us, even those with a shared body of experience or those who choose to ally themselves with an ecclesiastical organization, is constantly crafting and recrafting our individual synthesis of understanding. Synthian, simply put, means 'of the synthesis'.
