Stupid5Pin.com

Title

Additional Information

On December 13, 2003, Fropac Entertainment President and Co-Owner Joseph Kent purchased stupid5pin.com, the name coming from an inside joke conceived by the organization's founders and a friend at a local bowling facility. The next day, the site went live with an article titled "Saddamize Saddam," written by Mr. Kent under the pseudonym "SKiTZo" (archived at archive.org here). Throughout the next three years, the site would go through cosmetic changes as well as content shifts, ultimately becoming a humorous blog about life observations from Mr. Kent.

The domain was allowed to expire on December 13, 2006, as Fropac Entertainment was unable to renew it at the time. The company was set to purchase the domain back in early 2007 when they were made to realize that the domain was already purchased by somebody else, who is apparently only cybersquatting, while attempting to sell the domain back to it's original owners for an obscenely higher amount than what the company would have had to pay to a registrar.

Meanwhile, Fropac Entertainment purchased stupid5pin.net as a temporary replacement. The new site was launched in May of 2007.

On July 11, 2008, Fropac Entertainment regained stupid5pin.com, and re-launched the site with a new design on August 1, 2008
