- Computer Design, Inc. was founded in 1985 as an engineering consulting firm and Authorized AutoCAD Dealer. For many years Computer Design operated as a full service CAD/CAM systems integrator; however, unlike many conventional AutoCAD Dealers of the time, Computer Design was also heavily involved in software development. By 1990, the software development aspect of the business had evolved into the Striker Systems division of Computer Design. Striker Systems is now a world leader in the development and distribution of software for the sheet metal fabrication and metal stamping industries.
