The Securities Quote Xchange (SQX) entered the data transfer business July of 1997. We discovered a problem the securities industry was having in sending and receiving broker/dealer generated security quotes. These prices were being sent via faxes, emails and telephone calls. These end-of-day prices were being used to calculate mutual fund net asset values.
