Spectropolis was a three-day public art and technology event held October 1–3, 2004, in New York City's City Hall Park. It brought together artists, technical innovators, and activists to explore how communication technologies — including Wi-Fi, GPS, cell phones, and pagers — shape urban experience and public voice. Twelve projects examined the visible and hidden electronic and human networks of the city.
