Sturbridge Metallurgical Services was started in 1990 in Sturbridge, MA, by co-owner and president Courtney Grimes. Originally the company was meant to be a small independent testing lab. Over the years, the company grew; Sturbridge Metallurgical now benefits from two full-time and several part-time employees. They outgrew two previous locations before settling in their current home at 8 Picker Road in Sturbridge, MA.
