Overview

Part 1: Setting up your account

In order to play Salesman, you need to register first. You only need a Username, email & password. You will recive an activation email where you activate your account. Once you do that you are ready to play!

When you first go to the main site & login, you will see a navigation bar to your right. These are the different pages in the game, such as the Marketplace and Your Residence. There is also a forum (message board) where friendly members and staff will help you through the first stages if you need it. The forum does require seperate registration however.

Part 2: Features Of The Game

Player Money & Strength: The most important part of Salesman, the money & strength. Your player has money that he/she can spend & get. When you complete an action (Like buying a car, starting a business) you spend your money. When you sell a car, you make money. Simple. Strength is a bit more complicated. Strength is like your energy level in real life. Your player gets tired by doing actions, such as buying & selling cars, starting businesses, hiring employees, etc. You gain Strength each half hour from resting in Your Residence. Your max strength level is 100%. Different actions use up different amounts of strength. See below for information on the amount of Strength you get every half hour.

Cities: Cities are where you travel to to take part in auctions there (And mabye more stuff I haven't thought of yet). You can also move to a different city than your starting city. This will change your Residence so that you are now living in city x instead of your previous city. The Image of a city figures out how much strength you get every half hour. The higher the Image, the more you get. The lower, the less. Simple. Now, the Image depends on many factors, such as land available, land value, population, etc. The cities in the game will eventually be around the world, but at first you will be able to buy cars in the United States, Asia, & Europe.

Companies: In order to sell many cars, you must establish your own car dealership company. After you do that, you can manage your business through the Company Control Panel (CCP). In the CCP you have 5 sections, Main, Employee Conrol Panel, Advertisment, Sales, & Inventory. The main section lists your current money, the name, and other details abour your business. The Employee Control Panel (ECP) lists all your employees in a nice chart. How many are working, what is their salary, what dealership they work at, what is the avarage salary, and a button to hire/fire employee(s). Advertisment section lists your Advertising budgets. If done correctly, you should see an increase in sales. The Sales section lists your item sales (things your dealerships sell, so... cars) for the last 7 days. To see info on the days before the past week, you can look at a detailed report also. The Inventory section shows your business's current stock of items. How many Cars you have in stock, etc. *Note, this lists your complete list of inventory. To see indiviual inventories of each dealership, go to the subdivisions heading.*

Multiple Dealerships: We already talked about how dealerships are what sell your cars. When you establish a company, you have to build a dealership in your HQ city. You can build multiple dealerships, and in every city in the game. Dealerships have an inventory also, and you must restock these dealerships before they run out and stop sales. You take stock from your business warehouse and deliver it to the dealerships that require it. The farther the truck has to drive, the higher the cost. And, the cars do not arrive immediatly, they take time just like in real life.

Land: In order to build dealerships, you need to buy land in the city you want to build the dealership in. Different sizes of dealerships need different amounts of land to function. You buy land in acres.
