The leaders of the prohibition movement were alarmed at the drinking behavior of Americans, and they were concerned that there was a culture of drink among some sectors of the population that, with continuing immigration from Europe, was spreading. Temperance & Prohibition is a documentary website created by Austin Kerr in the early 90s. It was redesigned in 2006 and again in 2011 and remains a popular resource on the Prohibition era.
