The Online Policy Group (OPG) is a San Francisco-based nonprofit focused on online policy research, outreach, and advocacy covering issues such as internet access, privacy, digital defamation, and the digital divide. It serves schools, libraries, and underrepresented communities including disabled, elderly, youth, women, and sexual, gender, and ethnic minorities. Founded by Will Doherty on July 21, 2000, OPG is volunteer-run and funded almost entirely by individual donations.
