The Moon Valley Chapter was established in 1997. The founding members sought to "foster compassion and perpetuate respect and courtesy." They sincerely believed the National Charity League would start their daughters on a lifelong commitment to serving others. The mothers are referred to as Patronesses and the daughters, in grades 7-12, are called Ticktockers. NCL has evolved into a dynamic and well respected small group leadership program.
