これまで‥ 明治20年に特許局官制が施行され、農商務省特許局庶務部内に図書館を置き、図書等の保管・閲覧を開始したことにより、組織上のスタートを切りました。その後、明治32年に「工業所有権の保護等に関するパリ同盟条約」に加盟し、同条約に基づき公報等の閲覧を行う中央図書館として、国際的な地位を獲得しました。平成9年には「工業所有権総合情報館」として工業所有権相談業務と情報流通業務を加え、さらに平成13年には独立行政法人として生まれ変わり、より一層の利用者ニーズに機敏に対応する業務運営を目指して参りました。これから‥ 21世紀を迎えて、世界的規模での技術開発競争はますます激しくなっています。体系化された最先端の科学技術情報である工業所有権情報を迅速的かつ継続的に提供する役割の重要性は、一層高まっています。 read more
