The VFX Forth v4.4 releases are the result of a six-month development with a focus on theForth200x standard which should be released as a public draft by the end of 2009. Modifications to the code generator have been made to reduce problems with particularly "guru" code. With the new tokeniser, the v4.4 code generator produces code that benchmarks faster than that of v4.2.
