音楽は民族や文化の壁を越えて、人々の心を結び潤しながら、共感の輪を広げていく力を持っております。この音楽文化の絶えざる交流によって、人々に融和をもたらし、地球の平和へと結晶させていくことが私たちの願いであります。財団法人民主音楽協会はこうした音楽文化の重要性から、池田大作創価学会インターナショナル会長の提言により1963年に設立されました。その後、1965年には「財団法人」としての許可を受け、おかげさまで現在では日本を代表する音楽文化団体の一つに数えられるまでに発展いたしました。クラシックからポピュラー、歌謡曲、伝統芸能に至る幅広いジャンルの良質な音楽をより多くの人々に提供するだけでなく、世界各国の文化団体との交流や、国際音楽コンクール、学校コンサートの開催など未来の人材発掘や青少年の情操教育に寄与する多角的な音楽文化運動を展開しております。 read more
