The Maryland Psychiatric Society is a state medical specialty society, whose physician members specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental illnesses including substance use disorders. The MPS website was developed to inform the public and the members of the society about advocacy initiatives, legislation, and offer informative articles about issues relevant to psychiatry and mental illness. The site also offers an online search mechanism for psychiatrists in the state.
