Makahiki Farms grows, harvests, and sells 100% Kona Coffee from a small, family-owned farm in the South Kona district on the Big Island of Hawaii. The roughly four-acre farm sits at 1,000 feet elevation in the prime Kona coffee belt above Kealakekua Bay, where volcanic soil and distinctive coastal weather conditions support coffee cultivation. Trees were planted in fall 2000 and the farm is fully irrigated. It is owned and operated by Jonathan and Nancy Sechrist.
