LPRng is an enhanced, portable implementation of the Berkeley LPR print spooler, developed by Astart Technologies of San Diego, California. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX systems and is compatible with network printers and print spoolers that use the LPR interface and meet RFC 1179 requirements. The project is aimed at system administrators and developers managing print services on UNIX-based networks.
