Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 was established in the year 1965.It was founded under the auspices of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous organisation which functions under the umbrella of the ministry for Human Resources and Development. The main aim is to provide excellence in education, through uniform syllabi, common text books and medium of instructions. The School is affiliated to CBSE and the medium of instruction for Science and Maths is English and Hindi both.
