KVS Patna Region came into existence in the year 1970. Earlier it was known as Eastern Region which included Guwhati Region, Silchar Region, Calcutta Region & Bhubaneshwar Region. Earlier it was running in the temporary building. After lot of efforts taken by Sh. S Modawal the then Assistant Commissioner of Patna Region shifted to its own building in the year 2000. Patna Region is one of the Region of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan out of 18 Regions.
