How Long Have We Done This? The idea of a tailgating Krewe started back in 1999, when a few of us moved back into town and began tailgating together. Over the years our group has steadily grown, and recently has joined forces with another group of LSU tailgating friends. 2005 marked the adoption of the Krewe’d Awakening name, when our tailgating groups united as one. Why The Name? Because we wake up too early to start our tailgating day.
