Jeet Kune Do translates to English roughly as "the way of the intercepting fist". It was created by the late Bruce Lee in the 1960's as he began to liberate himself from the limitations of classical Wing Chun Kung Fu. As he applied his significant knowledge of kinesiology and physics to his martial arts, he began to see that the essense of Kung Fu was really to remove the artificial limitations imposed by traditional styles.
