Iowa Radio Reading Information Service (IRIS) provides audio readings of Iowa newspapers, magazines, and other publications for the roughly 50,000 Iowans who cannot read due to vision impairment or physical disability. More than 260 volunteers across Iowa donate time to read content aloud, and the service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Programming is supplemented by partnerships with In Touch Network in New York and Radio Talking Book in St. Paul.
