- INGA HAMMOND Biography:
Inga Hammond was an anchor on the now defunct CNN/Sports Illustrated sports news network. (Her last appearance on CNN was in February of 2001.) She joined CNN in August 1996 from KNXV-TV in Phoenix. Hammond joined KNXV-TV as a reporter and weekend sports anchor in May 1995. In September 1995, she was promoted to anchor of the weekday sportscasts at both 6 and 10 p.m. Prior to joining KNXV-TV, Hammond worked as a news anchor at KSTW-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle, Wash.; news anchor and reporter at KSTP-TV, the ABC affiliate in Minneapolis, Minn.; a reporter at the ABC affiliate in Dayton, Ohio; and as reporter and anchor at the NBC affiliate in Fort Wayne, Ind. Hammond received bachelor's degrees in journalism and political science from Indiana University. -CNN/Sports Illustrated- June 1999
