About

Here are photos of the tools designed by the artist Dorothy Gauvin to help her continue with her art despite the difficulties imposed by Rheumatoid Arthritis. These painting aids were made at home by her partner and - with the exception of the Motorised Easel – can be produced by anyone who is reasonably handy. You can read Gauvin's article 'Does Arthritis Mean You Must Give Up Painting?'

Onsite, you can join up for the free e-mailing list to the 'ArtLife' newsletter, or access all her articles published as a Platinum Expert Author on EzinesArticles.com. Gauvin says of her art:

In essence, I'm painting the Story of my 'tribe' - the Europeans who came to Australia and built a nation. The West Queensland town of Winton was where I was born and it was there that 'Waltzing Matilda' was written. Winton was centre stage of the 1890s uprising known as the Australian 'secret' civil war. All my work in images and writing is inspired by that eventful period of Australia's national Story.
