The prominent Australian science writer Julian Cribb established ScienceAlert in 2004 in response to the need to provide easy access to the best of Australian and New Zealand science news and opinions. ScienceAlert news is selected from the websites of the top Australian and New Zealand universities and research organisations (news sources). Each news release is evaluated for quality and relevance before being posted (content selection criteria).
