Anyone can be a Consensus Poll Faciltator.

A consensus poll facilitator helps participants come to agreement through discussions and by helping them articulate their concerns more clearly. Also, it is important for consensus poll facilitators to direct polls in such a manner that they can reach a conclusion in optimal time; but at the same time ensure that the process is given enough time to evolve naturally. What does a facilitator do with the NotYets?

  • Actively listens to the concerns of the participant
  • Articulates the issues of the participants in a better way
  • Helps participants in changing the document, so that it coincides with their viewpoints (see EfficientlyExpressedSuggestions )
  • Assists participants to effectively communicate their views to the other community members

What does a facilitator do with the Yesses?

  • Encourages participants to become facilitators
  • Guides and helps the participants who are willing to facilitate
