Field Maintenance Utility (FMU) is to distinguish the organizational function of the network from the network itself which is all of the people connected through the Emerging Futures "concept". There has always been objection to that term and its predecessor (Field Maintenance Authority), and the suggestion has been made that we think of the Council of Trustees as that organizational function. I am not sure that works because we will still need an identity of "Network Member" entitled to select who is a Trustee - some things may take time to work out.
