CRACYP is an Ecuadorian-registered NGO. CRACYP stands for Corporacion Red Arborizadora Campo y Progreso, which is Spanish for Rural Forestation & Development Network Corporation.
The website has information about our projects, which include eco-tourism, community banks, organic agriculture, community development and appropriate technology for agriculture. Projects in the pipeline include recycling, irrigation, bio-fuels and scholarships for young volunteers in Ecuador.
The organic sugar cane farmers of our CADO project have what is perhaps the world´s only organic alcohol produced by a socially-responsible community enterprise. The high quality alcohol (ethanol) is for sale on a fair trade basis. Organic potable alcohol is ideal for producing organic liqueurs. Organic DEB96 can be used in perfumery or industrial processes such as the extraction of plant essences. Gas chromatography analysis is available and CADO can match the specification of an existing alcohol sample.
