David Harber creates stunning sundials, garden sculptures and water features for public and private clients all around the world.

David began making contemporary and traditional sundials in 1992 and has expanded over the years to include contemporary garden sculpture and water features in his portfolio.

He has earned an international reputation for creating innovative, comtemporary garden art that pays homage to the past as well as for the drama and technical excellence of his distinctive public art.

Sundials

Where it all started for David Harber.

David was part of the movement to bring sundials into line with modern outdoor art. His glittering stainless steel armillary spheres, often personalized with dates and place markers, set the standard for contemporary sundial design. Armillary sphere sundials are also made in stately bronze and friendly brass.

Other sundials made by David Harber include striking garden obelisks in his favourite surgical grade stainless steel, both with and without water; and wall sundials in a range of materials that pay strong homage to the past.

Garden sculpture

Possibly the field where David Harber has created some of his most exciting and innovative works, the garden sculpture range includes pieces like the Ether garden sphere that play with outdoor reflections on stainless steel; and other pieces which mix metals to create statement abstract art for the garden. In 2011, for the first time, David Harber introduced a fire pit table to its range.

Water features

David Harber's selection of water features grew in response to public demand. The award winning Chalice was the first. The range now includes innovative water spheres in stainless steel and black pebbles, as well as a striking collection of water walls.

Custom commissions

David Harber has for many years created bespoke public art for companies, organizations and private individuals. For the first time in 2011, he is accepting a small number of custom landscaping commissions where he will apply his special design skills to a space in partnership with you or your designer. This is an exciting new development for the company and will lead to some stunning landscapes.

Shipping and installation

David Harber is based in Oxfordshire, England, and all works are made in England. Shipping to all parts of the world is possible. The company has a lot of experience of shipping its products so mishaps are unlikely. Prices are individual for each commission.

For simpler pieces, very details installation instructions are provided and the company is always happy to assist by phone. Alternatively, artworks can be installed by the company for a fee.

For larger works, personalized installation is included.
